French Embassy, Bangladesh places its trust in Guardian Life Agreement signed to avail insurance services

[Dhaka, 16 June 2025] Guardian Life Insurance Limited (GLIL) has recently signed an agreement with the Embassy of France in Bangladesh to offer comprehensive insurance coverage. Under this agreement, all the employees and family members of the French Embassy will be able to avail life coverage and medical benefits from Guardian.
The agreement was recently signed in the presence of high officials of both the organizations. Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, Additional Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (Acting) of Guardian, and H. E. Marie Masdupuy, Ambassador of the Embassy of France in Bangladesh, signed this agreement on behalf of their respective concern.
From Guardian, high officials including Mahmudur Rahman Khan, AMD & Head of Retail Business; Md. Sajib Hossain, FCA, SEVP & Chief Financial Officer; Farjana Quader, SVP & Head of HR; Ghazi Rafi Ahmed Shams, SVP & Head of Group Insurance; Iftakher Ahmed, SVP & Deputy Head of Group Insurance, were present at the event. Frédéric Lecourt, Consul and Head of Chancery; and Kazi Abdullah Al Muktadir, Administrative Manager of the French Embassy, were also present in the signing ceremony.
Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, said, “Insurance plays instrumental role in times of crisis. Taking employee wellbeing into account, many organizations are now prioritizing insurance services for its employees. In this connection, we are happy to join hands with the Embassy of France in Bangladesh. Our collaboration will make sure that the policyholders get benefitted by timely insurance coverage. We are committed to extending insurance services and making it more accessible for all.”
French Embassy’s decision to partner with a local insurer like Guardian marks a pivotal moment for the insurance industry in Bangladesh, signaling increased trust in local expertise and opening new doors for meaningful collaborations in coming days.
