Dhaka:: Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) and MetLife Foundation have provided training, certification and necessary technical and financial support to 40 persons with disabilities to start their own small businesses to become financially independent.
The initiative is part of Jagoron program launched in 2025.
Designed to empower persons with disabilities, the Jagoron program delivers specialized training in Computer Office Applications, Electronics and Mobile Phone Servicing, and Dressmaking and Tailoring. By providing access to training tools and resources, the program helps bridge the gap between learning and employment, contributing to resilient livelihoods and sustainable outcomes.
In the coming months, a further 110 trainees will receive similar support, reinforcing MetLife Foundation’s purpose-driven approach to expanding inclusive opportunities and strengthening communities through education, resources, and skills development.
Throughout the training period, CRP continues to provide free medical and therapy services in a fully inclusive and accessible environment. This holistic support aligns with MetLife Foundation’s promise of supporting communities and working with trusted partners to create lasting social impact.
