Subject: Regarding the request for the sale of LPG cylinders at the price determined by the government
The recent letter of the Ministry of Commerce dated April 7, 2026, revealed that cylinders are being sold at higher prices than the government-determined price at the consumer level in different parts of the country. But LPG bottling companies are supplying cylinders at the government-determined price. The National Consumer Rights Protection Department and all Deputy Commissioners have already been instructed to take action against this irregularity and take strict legal action. It is our moral responsibility to reduce public suffering at this time of the current global energy crisis.
Hence, the LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB) has requested all distributors and retailers involved in the LPG business to sell LPG at the government-determined price.
