Four candidates have withdrawn their nominations from the four constituencies of Habiganj. This was confirmed by the district returning officer Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin on Tuesday, January 20. The candidates who withdrew their nominations are: Md. Shahjahan Ali from Jamaat-e-Islami for Habiganj-1 (Nabiganj-Bahubal), Md. Noman Ahmed Sadiq from Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis for Habiganj-2 (Baniachang-Ajmiriganj), Chowdhury Ashraful Bari Noman from Gano Adhikar Parishad for Habiganj-3 (Sadar-Shaistaganj-Lakhai), and Mokammel Hossain from Amar Bangladesh (AB Party) for Habiganj-4 (Chunarughat-Madhabpur).
