Guardian Life settles insurance claims worth Tk 129 crore in Q1’25

[Dhaka, 22 April, 2025] Guardian Life Insurance Limited has settled insurance claims worth around Tk 129 crore in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025. Of this total amount, death insurance claims amounted to Tk 77 crore, health-related insurance claims to Tk 39 crore, and policy maturity and other claims amounted to Tk around 13 crore.
One of Guardian’s major goals is to settle insurance claims quickly; and to achieve this goal, 95 percent of insurance claims were settled within just 3 (three) working days in the previous quarter. In addition, they are ensuring insurance services for employees of more than 450 local and multinational organizations. In the first quarter of this year, the country’s leading telecommunications company Robi and many other renowned organizations joined hands with Guardian to get corporate services. At the same time, the company has brought more than 12.6 million people of the country under insurance services and they are working tirelessly to bring more population of the country under insurance coverage.
Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, Additional Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (Acting) of Guardian, said, “We are working to make insurance services accessible to everyone. Our goal is to gain customer trust by ensuring transparency and accountability in this sector. As a reflection of our commitment to settle insurance claims quickly, we are paying insurance claims within just three working days.”
It is mentionable that customers are getting 24/7 uninterrupted service through Guardian’s helpline (16622). In addition, taking into account the needs of the customers, Guardian has introduced other services including chatbots and telemedicine.
