Coast Guard has arrested a drug trafficker with 50,000 pills.

In Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf, the Coast Guard has detained a drug trafficker along with 50,000 yaba pills valued at approximately 25 million BDT.
On Thursday, January 22nd, Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque provided this information. He stated that based on a secret tip-off, a special operation was conducted by the Coast Guard Station in Teknaf at 7 AM on January 22nd in the Keruntali area under Teknaf Police Station in Cox’s Bazar. During the operation, a suspicious CNG vehicle was searched, leading to the arrest of a drug trafficker with 50,000 yaba pills worth about 25 million BDT.

The seized yaba, the CNG used for trafficking, and the apprehended trafficker are currently undergoing legal procedures. He further mentioned that the Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to prevent drug trafficking.
