BAT Bangladesh approves 300pc cash dividend The company holds 52nd AGM

[Dhaka, 27 March 2025] British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited (BAT Bangladesh) has approved a 300 per cent (three hundred per cent) cash dividend for the year 2024.
The approval was given at the 52nd annual general meeting (AGM) of the company, which was held online and attended by a significant number of shareholders on Tuesday (25 March 2025).
The shareholders unanimously approved the appointment of statutory auditors and appointment of corporate governance auditors.
BAT Bangladesh’s management board chairman Wael Sabra presided over the meeting. Shareholders of the company from home and abroad joined the AGM virtually via BAT Bangladesh’s AGM portal.
The AGM also approved the election of its Board of Directors and the company’s financial statement for 2024.
In 2024, BAT Bangladesh contributed Tk 34,173 crore as value-added tax, supplementary duty, and other taxes to the national exchequer, making the company one of the highest taxpayers in the country.
The company’s Independent Directors Masud Khan and Professor Dr. Melita Mehjabeen, Non-Executive Directors Shirajun Noor Chowdhury, Stuart Kidd and Francisco Toso Canepa, Managing Director Monisha Abraham, Finance Director Nirala Singh, Commercial Director Numayer Alam and Company Secretary Syed Afzal Hossain joined the AGM.
