UCB PLC stands beside students and citizens injured in recent movement

To aid in the medical treatment of those injured during the recent student movement, the country’s leading private financial institute, United Commercial Bank PLC Limited (UCB), has provided financial assistance to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The funds from UCB will be used to cover the medical expenses of the injured individuals.
Recently, a team from UCB, led by ATM Tahmiduzzaman, Additional Managing Director of UCB, handed over a cheque of Tk 25 lakh to Brig. Gen. Md. Nazmul Haque, Director, DMCH. Professor Dr. Md. Fazle Elahi Milad from the hospital’s Neurosurgery Department and other officials from both institutions were present during the ceremony.
Many courageous individuals stood up against injustice and discrimination in the recent student-led mass uprising. Their bravery and courage marked a new chapter in the country’s history. Numerous people were injured in the movement and are currently receiving treatment in various public and private hospitals around the country. In addition to the government, many private organizations have also come forward to ensure the injured receive proper care. UCB, as part of its corporate social responsibility, has also extended its support to stand by the injured.
