BYD Bangladesh has officially completed the first phase of its pioneering Youth Apprenticeship 2025, marking the debut of the country’s first structured automotive apprenticeship for future leaders. This intensive program has established a new standard for corporate-led education by providing university students with immersive, hands-on exposure to New Energy Vehicle (NEV) architecture and proprietary BYD innovations.
In this inaugural cycle, BYD engaged ten high-potential students from five prestigious institutions: Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), and United International University (UIU). These participants underwent a comprehensive multi-day journey that seamlessly integrated theoretical classroom learning with advanced technical demonstrations and strategic industry insights, ensuring a rigorous alignment with global automotive standards.
The curriculum, led by in-house trainer & product specialist, Md. Rezwan Rahman, and Product Development Executive Nakibul Islam covered the full spectrum of modern mobility, including EV powertrains and hybrid systems. Special emphasis was placed on BYD’s signature Blade Battery technology, alongside essential modules on supply chain operations, connectivity, and safety protocols to ensure a holistic understanding of the industry.
The program concluded with a formal certification ceremony presided over by Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer, and Hossain Mohammad Imteaz, Head of Supply Chain, where the successful cohort received career guidance and recognition for their technical proficiency. This milestone serves as the foundation for BYD’s long-term commitment to national education, with subsequent phases planned to further bridge the gap between academic theory and industrial practice across Bangladesh.
Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer of BYD Bangladesh, stated: “The successful completion of this inaugural phase is a proud moment for us as we cultivate the talent necessary to lead Bangladesh’s green revolution. By empowering these bright minds with our global NEV expertise, we are not just teaching technology; we are building the infrastructure for a sustainable, future-ready mobility ecosystem.”
This initiative stands as a vital investment in the nation’s evolving automotive landscape, reinforcing BYD’s dedication to impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and innovation. As BYD continues to expand its reach, the Youth Apprenticeship Program will remain a cornerstone of its mission to empower the next generation of Bangladeshi engineers and leaders.
